Upcycle Tip #6

For a while, I have been doing the kind of work that won’t allow me much glamour ie: painted nails.

However, I have a little vacation from that so I thought, why not add some color as we move deeper into the most colorful season, autumn.

Gather colors ( if any are too thick add a drop of remover to them)

I located my nail polish stash and was not totally inspired my what I saw. So, I checked out the selection at the local Whole Foods and Co-op, as I only use non-toxic brands like Karma Hues, Mineral Fusion and Aila. Another one I love is Floss Gloss, which is short for Flossed and Glossed like a Boss!

+Lay out some colors on a pallet like Frida+

They are cruelty free and vegan friendly!  As well as  FREE of 7 harsh chemicals typically found in nail polish: Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor, Triphenyl Phosphate (TPHP) or Xylene.

MIX to your hearts desire!

I chose some colors and headed to the register, when I realized my wallet was at home. Oh well, this led me back to my own tired color choices when it dawned on me to do it the Home Depot paint department way…make custom colors! You should try it too…invite friends over w/ their colors, or do a pop-up-cycling manicure salon.

I call this one Star-Lite
